The town Liptovsky Hradok lies on the confluence of rivers Biela and Vah. There is an important tourist path going from Liptovsky Hradok along the Vysoke Tatry mountains to a crossroads of 5 signed paths called „under Brtkovica“. If you seek some historical monuments, don´t miss the church from 1603, the town castle from 13rd century and the parish church from 1790. Thanks to its position a lot of watermen go down the river through Liptovsky Hradok. For them the town offers places intended for rafting or a water-slalom course. During winter skiing fans can visit a maintained down-hill course with a ski-tow.
